The Haori (羽織) is a traditional Japanese hip- or thigh-length jacket worn over a Kimono.
Haori are can be worn and styled as a jacket/cardigan over regular clothes. They are worn open with lapels hanging straight down and ties to hold them together. Haori are usually broad fitting garments making them ideal for layering in colder months, and have mid length sleeves that are practical for everyday wear.
This wool Haori features a heavy lined fabric that makes it ideal for cooler months. Whilst it is not a winter coat, it's broad fit will allow you to layer it with other garments. Mid length sleeves also make it practical for everyday use. The firm wool fabric also allows for a most structured fit.
